The Prompt Club had it’s fourth meeting on October 20, with seven people in attendance. The members all seemed to think the selected prompt about “a child’s birthday-cake wish coming true with disastrous consequences” was too hard — yet, they all wrote wonderfully inspired stories and most said the stories they submitted weren’t their only ideas. The three missing members were indeed missed, but the extra time we gained allowed more in-depth discussions.
Our next meeting will be Thursday, November 17, from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at the Cherry Valley District Library small meeting room. The prompt is, “A bizarre addiction takes over the old folks’ home.”
There will be no December meeting. We will resume in January.
