The In Print Challenge board will be presented at our December 10 meeting to showcase and reward all of the dedicated writers that have challenged themselves. Whether in process or successful, we’ll be honoring the efforts of our hard-working members.  We are looking forward to wrapping up the progresses and successes of 2011. We look forward to hearing what you have to share!

The holiday season is a busy time for everyone, but that’s no excuse not to write! Prompts are an easy way to keep up with the habit and still feel a sense of completion. Let’s face it, you’re probably not going to finish your Great American Novel this month, BUT you can execute a wonderful short story. Or two. This month’s prompt guidelines: Open with the line “Dear Santa,” and write it from one of these four perspectives

  1. A jaded ten year old
  2. A first time grandparent
  3. A pet
  4. Someone on Santa’s work force.

Aim for a word count between 500 and 1,000. Plan on reading your finished prompt at the December In Print meeting!
