Bryan Cohen will be our guest speaker at the August 10th meeting. He is a man of many trades. He is a comedian who has studied at the iO Theater and who has performed at the world-renowned Second City. He has produced multiple plays in Illinois and North Carolina. He has acted in plays like The Pillowman and A Doll House. His biggest passion, however, is writing and he has now written one fiction novella, four books on writing, and multiple plays.
He has also written over 3,000 articles and posts for blogs, businesses and individuals. He has English and Dramatic Art degrees from the University of North Carolina and a minor in Creative Writing.
His books include Ted Saves the World, 1,000 Creative Writing Prompts, 500 Writing Prompts for Kids, Writer on the Side, and Sharpening the Pencil. His plays include Chekhov Kegstand and Covenant Coffee.
