This month’s featured guest is Doug Shiloh and he’ll be the host of the Literary Road Show. He’s the author of the novel, Pookoo. He’s worked as a sportswriter, an educator, a custodian and even a restaurant mascot. He won silver medals in the shot put and discus at the 2000 Prairie State Games and is a member of the Roscoe Rush semi-pro football Hall of Fame. He attended the Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference, and graduated Rock Valley College. As part of the roadshow, we will have time at the end of this month’s meeting to present “your best thousand words”. A sign up sheet went around the room in August. If you would like to sign up, contact Richard Pulfer.
In Print meetings are free and open to the public, all writers, readers, and appreciators are invited! September’s meeting is at our regular location at the Cherry Valley District Library, at our regular time 1:00 – 4:00 pm.
Do you have a work you’d like to share? After the presentation, we’ll have time for members to take the podium and read their work. If interested, contact Samantha Kitchel to sign up.
