Eric Charles May is a Chicago native. He earned his BA in Writing/English from Columbia College. He moved to Washington D.C. to attend graduate school and worked as a reporter for the Washington Post, working for the Metro section. He returned to Chicago and Columbia College as an associate professor.
His non-fiction has appeared in Sport Literate. His fiction has appeared in Fish Stories: Collective One and f magazine. His first novel, Bedrock Faith, was published earlier this year. The Chicago Tribune/Printers Row named it One of Five Books to Read Now and O, The Oprah Magazine named it one of the Ten Books to Pick Up Now in April, 2014.
Eric is a Certified Story Workshop Director. He will be the featured speaker at the November meeting of In Print on Saturday, November 8. The meeting is at the Mendelssohn Performing Arts Center from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Everyone is invited to attend.
