In Print Author Writes Book to Support Humane Society

by Jim Applegate

Book - Real Cats Don't Wear Collars“Ten years ago a feral kitten, we now call Ebby, came out of the woods across the street and changed our lives. Real Cats Don’t Wear Collars is Ebby’s story. Last January I decided to ask Mostly Cats, our cat’s spa, if they wanted to sell copies of this memoir to raise money for Paws Humane Society. At first I thought I would split the profit with them and they agreed, but by the next day I had time to think about how much joy Ebby has brought into my life and I decided to give all of the profits to Paws.

“I believe many more feral animals need help and could bring joy to those who cared for them. This year I have collected over $300 from the sale of Real Cats Don’t Wear Collars, with the help of Mostly Cats and the Roscoe Veterinary Clinic, and have passed that money along to Paws to save the lives of lost kittens and abandoned puppies.”

Anyone wishing to buy a copy of Real Cats Don’t Wear Collars should contact Jim at mariongapple@gmail.com. All proceeds ($10 per book) will go to Paws Humane Society. Give Real Cats Don’t Wear Collars to the animal lover on your Christmas list and help an animal friendly organization, Paws Human Society, at the same time.
