BECOME A GUEST AUTHOR
Becoming a guest author on our blog is a great way to showcase your writing skills and, at the same time, provide helpful information to your fellow writers. If you are interested in submitting content to our blog, fill out the form below and we will send you an invitation. You must be a current In Print member to be a guest author and you must have an account on WordPress.com. As with anything else, there are a few guidelines that we ask guest authors to follow.
What type of content will we accept?
In Print will accept anything that is useful to our members. Since our members are generally writers, we are particularly interested in publishing, industry news, personal experiences in writing and publishing, and marketing.
We will allow links in your posts if they are relevant to the topic you are writing about. We ask that you include proper attribution. Linking to your blog or website is allowed within your post only if relevant to the topic. You may link to your own site or sites to buy your books in your byline (see Author Byline below).
We have no minimum length requirement but prefer that posts be no longer than about 500 words. Remember that longer posts may be daunting to the reader.
No payment will be involved for guest blog content.
We want to help promote you as the author of your article so we provide you the opportunity to include a byline. Post author may include an author bio of up to 60 words. You may also include up to three links to your own blog(s) or website(s). We recommend that at least one of the links from your byline should lead to a page where readers can learn more about you and how to buy your book(s).
By submitting your post(s), you acknowledge that your post(s) belongs to In Print and will be credited to you, the author. Also, by submitting, you allow In Print to share your comments publically.
All guest author posts must be approved by website administrator before publication. In Print reserves the right to review and edit for grammar. We will not rewrite your article, but may make grammatical changes, minor edits, title changes, or other format changes. If a post needs improvement, we will return it to you with suggestions. Please do not be offended if we suggest changes.
In Print reserves the right to make links within an author’s text to other relevant guest author posts.
Posts must be original. In Print reserves the right to verify the originality of any post.
Publishing of any blog post will be done at the discretion of In Print. After a post is approved, it may be several days before it is actually published.
In Print reserves the right to decline publishing any post or to remove a post after it has been published.
